These Terms of Use apply when you use the Anchor browser extension. By using Anchor, you agree to these terms.
What Anchor does
Anchor saves positions on webpages, can capture selected text and notes, and lets you return to saved positions later. Anchor is a convenience tool and should not be treated as a guaranteed backup or permanent archival system.
Using Anchor
Use Anchor for lawful purposes. You are responsible for how you use or share material you save or export, and you should respect applicable laws and the rights of others.
Provided as-is
Anchor is provided as-is and as available. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation, that every saved position will always restore exactly, or that Anchor will remain compatible with every website or browser configuration forever.
Webpage compatibility
Webpages can change their structure, load or update content dynamically, remove content, or behave differently across browsers and devices. As a result, saved positions may occasionally fail to restore precisely.
Saved and exported information
You are responsible for information you save or export with Anchor. Anchor is not intended to be the sole backup for important information. Export or back up anything important, and review the Privacy Policy for information about Anchor’s data handling.
Third-party websites and services
Anchor operates on third-party webpages and may link to external services. Anchor does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, terms, or changes. Third-party services are governed by their own policies.
Changes to Anchor
Anchor may be updated, modified, suspended, or discontinued. Features may change as browser and website technology changes.
No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anchor is provided without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or other applicable warranties. Some exclusions may not apply everywhere.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anchor and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from your use of or inability to use Anchor. Examples include unavailable webpages, failure to restore a saved position, loss of locally stored information, or reliance on saved or exported information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The Last Updated date shows the current revision. Continued use of Anchor after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
